Brand Spotlight: Anine Bing
Contrary to what people see on television, my personal, everyday style can be described in four simple words:
relaxed. comfortable. edgy, yet, feminine.
You would be hard-pressed to find me clad in glamorous, elaborate outfits flush with heels on a regular day. I save all of that for the carpet – and truth be told, there’s no better feeling than peeling it all off at the end of the night. When it comes to everything; fashion, beauty, travel and more, I like it fuss-free and uncomplicated. This is why I’m attracted to brands like Anine Bing.
I was first introduced to the Anine Bing brand a few years ago, while searching for the perfect, easy Fall Chelsea boot. I wanted something comfortable and versatile, but also, a statement shoe. That’s when I saw her classic Charlie Boot.
I oogled the ones studded in silver and, after what seemed like hours of deliberating, finally pressed the purchase button. They weren’t cheap, so I remember thinking to myself, these better be worth it.
They arrived in the mail shortly after and I tried them on. I ordered a half size up initially, just in case they weren’t true to size, and ended up sending them back for my true size of 8.
When I got my perfect size, I slipped them on and, immediately, I was seduced. I broke them in after only a few times of wear (they are now one of my go-to travel shoes - see the others here!) and, within a couple of short weeks, you simply couldn’t pay me to take them off.
They are truly a classic, comfortable, statement boot - entirely ideal for the Fall – and yes, tremendously worth it.
Eventually over the next couple of years, I acquired 5 more items that I continue to fall in love with every time I wear them.
Here is my official Anine Bing Round-Up of the classic essentials for any wardrobe:
My Anine Bing Round-Up
1. The Charlie Boot
Eventually I’ll have to get another pair of Charlies in order to give these ones a break!
2. The Madeline Blazer
There is no way on earth you can go wrong with this blazer. It’s such a versatile piece and the print is a Fall classic. I got this one in season last year, but here’s the newest plaid Madeline Blazer (there is also one in python print). Class.
3. The Mika Shirt
A crisp, white, button-down. Except this one has a little twist; it’s oversized. (Loveee). This number will easily become apart of your fashion uniform – for work, drinks with friends, day-to-night outfits, meetings, you name it. The Mika Shirt can do anything - except disappoint.
4. The Daphne Flats
These comfy darlings come in both black and python. When choosing, I felt torn between the two, but, eventually settled on the black since I have so much of it in my closet. Whenever I wear these flats, they are a crowd favorite. The Daphne Flats are stellar (and, oh so comfortable!).
5. The Tiger Sweatshirt
I’m not the biggest fan of large, brand advertising, but I couldn’t resist this sweatshirt. Anine has quite a few graphic tops and after eyeing this one for months, I finally caved and got it. I must admit; it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made this year. The Tiger Sweatshirt is cozy and casual with a little rock vibe. Here’s one way I like to wear it for the Fall!
6. Savage Rose
In addition to clothes, there are quite a few incredible accessories on her site – one of which, is her signature scent. I was curious about it since it’s often sold out (lucky for us, it’s not at the moment), so I went ahead and signed up for the waitlist. Within a few weeks, it was back in stock. Savage Rose is a roll-on perfume oil that smells fascinatingly layered; it’s simultaneously masculine and feminine with an air of soft rose. It’s almost identical to Dipitique’s Baies Candle scent, so if you like Baies (we have a few of them our home), you’ll adore Savage Rose. x
