5 Ways To Style a (Crushed Silk!) Slip Dress For The Fall
Slip dresses are a complete essential for any wardrobe; whether silk, satin, solid or patterned, I love their interchangeability and effortless vibe. As we season-shift, these are my favorite ways to transition a simple Summer slip dress into a Fall staple.
First, the dress:
Look #1:
Pair With Denim
I love a good denim jacket - it’s the perfect daytime layer option. The denim adds a casual sense of ease to a slip dress, as well as a pop of color. Along with this, slip on some comfy mules and a crossbody bag to keep the sense of leisure going. Perfect for those Autumn days when the sun still comes out to play.

Shoes: Gucci Princetown Leather Mules - similar ones here and here.
Bag: Chanel Mini Flap Classic - Caviar (this grained one is out of stock, but almost identical one here) and other mini black + gold crossbody options here, here and here.
Look #2:
Slip on a Sweater
Any sweater will do - whether graphic, casual or fuzzy - it will add a level of cozy to this look. Toss on a stylish sneaker for a slightly sporty feel. Love this street-style vibe for running errands, coffee date or a casual meeting. (This entire look is a direct reflection of my all-time favorite combo; feminine, edgy and effortless style all rolled into one!).
Sweater: Anine Bing Tiger Sweatshirt.
Shoes: Golden Goose White + Gold Superstar Sneakers - similar vibes here, here and here.

Look #3:
Look clean in your white tee
A clean, relaxed look for those days in warmer cities where ‘Fall’ hovers around the 60’s. I love that this outfit feels a little tomboyish while still remaining soft + feminine. This is an easy way to add a little pizzazz to your closet basics! For cooler nights, any jacket over the shoulders will do (denim, leather or an olive green utility jacket are all amazing for the Fall).

Look #4:
Pull out the cardigan
The contrast of the crushed silk against the smooth cozy cardigan, I love! I also have this cardigan in both black and camel. A long cardigan is excellent for those chillier, Autumn days and also, ideal for travel (a cardigan and blanket in one!). Besides the length and comfort, I also love that it comes with a little tie around the waist, which I normally fashion in a bow on the back (this gives a little extra cinch to the cardigan).
Cardigan: Babaton Kirby Sweater by Aritzia.
Shoes: Schutz Cendi Patent Leather Pumps in Honey-Beige.
Bag: YSL Grain De Poudre Large Tri-Quilt Monogram Satchel Dark Beige (out of season for this color, but an excellent pre-owned one here), and smaller version in a varied color here. Also, other beige shoulder bag options here and here.
Look #5:
the classic leather
I dig a snazzier look for night-time, so, something edgy like a leather jacket, can work beautifully. Couple that with nude stilettos for an elongated silhouette and a fierce clutch to complement the look? You’re ready for a night out on the town! A simple, elevated and effortless look.
Jacket: All Saints Biker Jacket (old season, see new season version here), similar here, and two vegan options here and here.
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman Nudistsong Sandals in Patent Beige, similar here and here.
Bag: All Saints Leather Crossbody Bag with Grommets (out of season, but another grommet option here).
Cheers to finally bringing on the Fall! x
